Hey Friend!

So, tell me, are you a scooper or a sprinkler?  One of the things I remember so well about January days in Oklahoma was my Momma’s hot chocolate.  She had her own mix that she’d make in big batches & then store in a huge Tupperware container in the pantry. 

It wasn’t a very sweet mix, but we never knew it.  She did that on purpose because she always served it topped with a big ol’ scoop of vanilla ice cream.  I mean a HUGE scoop!  Once that ice cream melted into a huge swirl in our mugs, it made the hot chocolate so delicious that we never knew she held back on the sugar in the mix.  (True story:  I never even knew people drank marshmallows with hot chocolate until I was in college.)  

Well, this little painting wraps up my imaginary pink & green winter ensemble.  I did try a drawing with a scoop of ice cream on top, but a sprinkle of  marshmallows just looked cuter.  So what is it that you like in your hot chocolate?  A scoop of ice cream?  Or a sprinkle of marshmallows?
